For Prologue owners lamenting how long it’s taking Honda to repair their vehicle (for whatever issue) know that GM is no better.

Part supply constraints are nothing new industry wide either. Especially for new cars. They don’t know there is a widespread problem so they don’t build out sufficient supply. Then when it hits, they not only have to develop a fix, but also build extra supply based on projected failure rates. For instance, the newest gen CR-V hybrids have a fuel injector failure rate issue above normal and I have read numerous accounts of long wait times for new injectors.

For starters, design an axel without whatever the issue is. Only been using those for what, 100 years? In terms of diagnostics, know what you’re selling. It sounds like at least part of the battery replacements were done due to the coolant issue which is caused by the poorly designed check valves. Have a supply of parts on hand when sales start.

NEVER leave out driver errors as well. Driving habits can cause almost as many issues as defects. For EVs, rapid take offs, hard braking, bad charging habits, rough terrain, extreme hot or cold weather, all play a role. Cleanliness plays a role when it comes to the cosmetics and longevity of the paint and interior components. The axle issue may very well be a grease issue, since it is a CV type.
