Any manufacturer, distributor and retailer will pass the tariffs to the consumer by raising prices at the register.

 

Yes! Mr. Big is correct! Tomorrow, Dec. 31st I try to trade in my 2012 Honda Civic and execute a ridiculous lease deal. This is a good car and your salesman literally knows nothing about it except that it earns them a commission. They want to close books strong and they are well aware in NY that they won't be getting that $8,000 from the government in 20 days, as well as the price being inflated to an unpurchasable price at the same time. It's an EV leasers dream situation!

 

Honda originally ordered 40k Prologues. 25k had been sold by the end of November. Likely nearly all have been made. There are no plans for a 2025. It may be a moot issue although the next administration may do away with the $7500 tax credit.
