Hello. Soon Honda is going to stop using the Ultium platform and use their own e-platform. I am thinking about buying a 2024 Prologue, but I have a concern that after Honda develops their own e-platform that the Prologues with the Ultium platform will become orphans, and may not have proper support. Does anyone share that concern? Thanks.

Good question. Honda makes no bones about working to produce their own platform. I did talk about that with the folks at the dealership, including the manager of the service department. While they will be moving on, they seem to feel very strongly that the Ultium is a very good product and they have been training their technicians to work with it. The service manager also pointed out that the “auto group” he works with also has a Chevy (and other) dealership, and they confer with each other. I came away feeling good about their support for this EV.
but this issue is another reason to consider leasing the Prologue and having the flexibility to move to a newer platform in the near future.
